Whats is the difference between Fashion and Style

it looks like a very simple question but the answer is not so easy. Because fashion can be define in many ways. Here is that one word which simplifies  the answer probably  -'mass'. Yes when a mass of people follow a particular style or dress code for an event or office work or business engagements at the same time period,is called "fashion".

Fashion can be classified in various ways. But we pick some classy pearl from this vast ocean. 

Ethnic- it is refereed to a traditional wear actually. A culture of a nation or a particular group of people or religions mostly follow this. Like kimono from Japan, Saree from India or Coat from Afghan. 

Formal- We  follow this fashion to attend office events mainly. When we try to look very corporate....very professional. A nice dark color suit for men, different types of shirt and formal skirts or trousers for women are eligible for this purpose.

Business casual- It is some times very difficult to choose something in between  not very formal or not very casual. That's why people develop  a new fashion to attend a business trip or office functions. A nice jacket with saree or bright color coats with trousers are very friendly with this segments.

 casual- When we don't want to wear something very formal or heavy...mainly when we plan to chill out with friends, family or our self, we go for loose jean, T-shirts, long skirts or something which can be carried easily. This segment compliments our casual mood.

Now we must have a question in our mind, then what is style? 

again the question is as simple as water. But when we try to find the proper answer we will have some dilemma. 

Style describe a individual person's dress code. It signifies the person's taste of clothes, fabric, jewellery etc.

Some people frequently ask this to me that what is difference between fashion and style? 

it can be defined like this- 

fashion followed by a mass of people inspired by some movies or fashion show or a trend setter public figures

whereas 

style followed by a person. It's depends only on his/her choice or comfort. 

Where fashion  have a certain time period.like 60's rock n role or 90's soft. 

Style is timeless. It depends on one's individual's mood, choice or personality.
